The Hot Yoga Studio in the Heart of Olathe
Sumit's Hot Yoga KC is Olathe's home for authentic 104°F hot yoga. Our studio sits in the Park Place shopping center on 119th Street, putting us at the center of one of Olathe's most accessible corridors. Whether you live near downtown Olathe, west of K-7, or in the newer developments south of College Boulevard, our studio is built for your daily routine.
Olathe residents make up the largest part of our student community, and many tell us the same thing: they were tired of driving across the metro for a real hot yoga experience. We opened in Olathe specifically to serve this community with a properly heated, properly equipped hot yoga studio you can walk into seven days a week.
From Garmin employees stopping in after work to Olathe Medical Center staff finding their morning reset, our community is woven into the fabric of this city. If you've been looking for an Olathe hot yoga studio that takes the practice seriously, you're in the right place.
Why Olathe Chose Us
At Sumit's Hot Yoga KC, every class takes place in a room heated to 104°F with controlled humidity. This isn't infrared panel heat or a warm room with space heaters — it's an engineered heating system designed to deliver consistent, therapeutic heat throughout the entire practice space. The difference is something you feel from the first class.
Our methodology comes directly from Sumit Banerjee, who developed a system that blends traditional hot yoga foundations with modern sequencing. The result is nine distinct class types ranging from our signature Sumits 80 — an accessible 80-minute flow — to Yin Nidra, a deeply restorative practice combining yin postures with guided relaxation.
Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or stepping into a yoga studio for the first time, every class is designed to meet you where you are. Our instructors guide the room with modifications and encouragements so beginners and experienced students practice side by side.

Which class should I take first as an Olathe beginner?
If it's your first time in the heat, start with Sumits Lite, a 30-minute beginner-friendly introduction, or Slow Flow, an all-levels class practiced at a lower temperature with detailed alignment cues. From there, most new students move into the 60-minute Sumits 60 before trying the signature 80-minute Sumits 80. Every class welcomes all levels and instructors offer modifications for every pose.
What should I bring to handle the 104°F room?
Bring a yoga mat, a large towel to cover your mat, a smaller hand towel, and plenty of water — hydration before and after class matters in a 104°F room. Wear lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing. Mat and towel rentals are available at the studio, and showers are on site if you want to rinse off before heading home.
Do I need to book ahead, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend reserving your spot ahead of time for popular morning and evening classes so you're guaranteed a place on the floor. New students can claim the 2-weeks-for-$30 intro offer online and book their first class in the same step.
